Endowed Funds Support the Future

An endowed fund can be established to honor someone special, such as a mentor or family member, with a minimum gift of $25,000, payable in installments over up to five years.

Typically, endowed funds support student scholarships but may also provide funding for student and faculty research, academic program development, and other scholarly activities.

Each year, a portion of the income generated by the principal is released for the fund’s designated purpose. The Empire State University Foundation sets the endowment spending rate annually.
